The Winnipeg Ostomy Association Celebrates World Ostomy Day

From the President’s Desk,

The sun and warm temperatures are casting a positive glow as we get closer to World Ostomy Day (WOD) on Saturday, October 3, 2009. Plans are coming together and the excitement is building. Further to the information sent out in the “Special Issue” of our newsletter, we have Hollister and Coloplast, Surgical Elastic, Maureen Gretchen and her custom-made Ostomy Bag Covers, along with Barb’s & Zerlina’s Undies, all confirmed as exhibitors. Some of the ETs are planning to set up an ET Corner and Cheryl & Shonna from Disability Tax Credit Services will be on hand to answer your questions. I have just met with Maureen Pendergast and she has created a super publicity kit to send out to the media. I recommend that you all keep your eyes and ears open for mention of our event.

Cheers,
Lorrie, Winnipeg Ostomy Association President
