Visitor Training
October 25 2003

The visitor training session was held on October 25, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital. I would like to express my appreciation to the following people for making the day a success. Thank you to those that braved to winds and the weather to become first time visitors or be recertified. Tom Roche a Social Worker from Cancer Care Manitoba did a marvellous presentation on communication. E.T.'s Angie Libbrecht and Vicki Perlman did a superb presentation on the anatomy and physiology of ostomies as well as lifestyle issues, and answered many questions. I would like to acknowledge the generosity of Convatec for providing the coffee, donuts and muffins for the morning nutrition break and Coloplast for providing lunch. The evaluations for the session were extremely positive, and I would like to thank all who participated. Please keep the last Saturday of October in 2004 free so that you can take part in the next Visitor Training session.
