Barrier Free Manitoba
Barrier-Free Manitoba is a non-profit, non-partisan, cross-disability initiative formed in 2008 to
advocate for accessibility-rights legislation in Manitoba. Well over 100 organizations have banded together to sponsor the 'Bring Down The Walls' campaign.
The primary objectives of this campaign are:
- Secure a commitment from the Province of Manitoba to enact strong and effective accessibility-rights legislation.
- Have this commitment announced or confirmed in the Throne Speech that would normally be expected in November 2009 - about 10 months from now.
The Winnipeg Ostomy Association is proud to be a participant in this campaign and your executive is presently identifying methods in which we can all be involved.
