I'm sure everyone is aware that there is not too much new in print on the topic of ostomies. Having said that however, there is a new book out from an author I'm sure you'll recognize. Brenda Elsagher's (she was a speaker at the Hamilton Conference) latest offering is aptly titled "Bedpan Banter." It is a book of short stories (many as short as a page) written by everyday people describing their experiences both good and bad with health related issues. Some are humorous, others painful but all are written with depth and emotion. Although Brenda did write several stories herself she is for the most part responsible for editing the contributions. The library has two copies available as well as her other two books-"If the Battle is Over, Why am I Still in Uniform" and"I'd Like to Buy a Bowel Please.".
