ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The election of officers was conducted at the annual meeting in April. You will note that at this writing the position of secretary for the upcoming term is vacant. It cannot be stressed enough how important is to have all positions on the executive committee filled. If you are able and willing to volunteer, please do contact one of the executive committee members listed on the back page of this newsletter.
SHEELAH ZAPH
At our chapter meeting in September, Sheelah Zapf, District Services Representative, Prairie Region, United Ostomy Association of Canada will be visiting us. Some of you may remember Sheelah. She last visited us back in the eighties. Sheelah's visit will give all the opportunity to meet and talk with someone who has many years experience in the ostomy world at not only the local level ( long-time President of the Edmonton chapter) but also at the regional, national and international levels.
I write this on May 11, and it looks like the weather has finally turned the corner. Summer will soon be upon us. I hope your summer activities will be most enjoyable and fulfilling.
First though, see you at the wine and cheese party on May 22!!!
