Is it Safe to Eat?
- Figure you can just plop the unfinished package of luncheon meat back in the fridge because its "best before" date is weeks away? Wrong! Once opened, luncheon
meats only keep for about five days.
- Leftover pizza for breakfast? Why not! If you've kept it in the fridge, it's good for two days. But if you've left it out on the counter for more than two hours, toss it!
- Suddenly remember that Christmas cake stored in the cellar? Well, it's probably still fine as long as it was kept in a cool, dry place.
- Cracked too many eggs for that omelette? No problem. Stored in the fridge, they'll be good for two more days.
