The Sherbrook Street address is that of the SMD Clearinghouse and 15 or 16 other health related organizations, such as: Manitoba Brain Injury Association; Huntington's Society; Arthritis Support Group and others. Each morning, when the mail arrives, an employee of the Clearinghouse sorts it into the mail slot of each individual organization. Mistakes are made, we do find other organizations mail in our slot on occasion and I can only assume the opposite happens. Some of the organizations have paid staff who check their mail on a daily basis. As a volunteer organization we do not, and it can sometimes be 2 or 3 weeks before we check the mail. All of this can and does slow down the processing of these renewals. When the renewals are sent to the address on the renewal form our Treasurer receives them right away and can process them quickly.
In the future please do send them to the requested address. It does help and would be greatly appreciated!!
