From The President's Desk

Hi all,
Remembrance Day has just past and I do hope you paused to remember those who so freely gave their lives that we may live in a country that espouses freedom and peace.

Effective September 7, 2004 the Materials Distribution Agency stopped collecting the co-payment on Ostomy Supplies. You should receive your re-imbursement on supplies ordered after April 1, 2004 shortly. Please be patient, you will receive it automatically, you do not have to apply for it.

In the September/October newsletter brief mention was made of the plans of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority to move the Ostomy Supply Distribution Center from the Materials Distribution Agency (MDA) to their own facilities in the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg. THIS CHANGE IS SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE SEPTEMBER, 1, 2005. UNTIL THAT DATE, SUPPLIES ARE TO BE ORDERED AS USUAL FROM MDA.

Plans for UOAC Conference 2005, from August 18 to 20, 2005, at the Delta Winnipeg are well underway, it promises to be an informative, exciting and fun event. I do hope as many of you as possible are making plans to attend.

As this is the final newsletter of 2004, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you Happy Holidays and have a GREAT 2005.

Dave
