I would like to thank those of you who have responded to our request to add your e-mail to our newsletter list to help us reduce our costs. Dave Page, the editor says that he has another 10 years of material to use but is restrained by the number of pages printed each time. To add another page would increase the cost of printing AND postage. The INSIDE/OUT newsletter is our largest expense but under the able care of Mike Leverick in the past, and our current editor Dave Page, it is one of the best produced and I know that most of you can't wait to receive yours. To add your name to the list please e-mail Dave at myostomy@shaw.ca or me at woainfo@mts.net.
Many of you have received an appeal for support from the United Ostomy Association of Canada (UOAC) and have probably sent off your contribution. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you, our members that the WOA has charitable status also and welcomes your consideration when making those decisions. Donations and bequests are gratefully accepted and are used to support Chapter activities.
On page 9 you will find information about our Christmas party on Dec. 3, 2006 We have moved the time from dinner to a luncheon at 1:30pm in hopes that more members will find it easier to join us. Please mark this date on your calendar.
I hope that you all had a great summer, enjoyed your fall, put your summer clothes away, raked all those leaves and said good-bye to the birds. Now we are looking forward to snow and all the activities associated with it. Aren't we? See you at our next meeting!
